Neil is the President and sole shareholder of the law offices of Neil F. Lewis, P.A., which he founded in 1997. Neil has practiced immigration law exclusively his entire career. He has represented thousands of clients since he opened his own firm and his extensive experience has made him one of the preeminent immigration law authorities in Florida. He is a member of the Florida Bar, the United States Middle District of Florida, and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.<\/p>\n
Neil has been a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) since 1996 and has served as a Board Member and Officer of the local AILA chapter. He has also spoken at and served as a moderator at nationwide AILA conferences. The Hillsborough County Public Defenders and other local bar associations have invited Neil to speak about and discuss complex deportation issues because of his expertise in these matters. He is regularly featured in the Tampa Bay Times and on Spanish language radio stations with regard to immigration law topics.<\/p>\n
Neil has shared his knowledge and experience by conducting Continuing Legal Education (CLE) seminars and offering his support and guidance to many attorneys who seek to venture into immigration law.<\/p>\n
Prior to being admitted to the Florida Bar in 1996, Neil graduated from the School of Law at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. He was elected by his law school peers to be the President of the Student Bar Association and he was awarded the Dean’s Certificate for his service and contributions to the law school. He is also a member of MENSA due to his high IQ. Before law school, Neil received his undergraduate degree in journalism from the University of South Carolina, where he enrolled after he was honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corps after serving from 1983 to 1987. Neil served in the Philippines and Okinawa during his time in the Marines.<\/p>\n
