For
those people wishing to come and live in the United
States as Lawful Permanent Residents, I have some great
information.
The
Visa I am writing about is the L-1 (Intra-Company Transferee).
This Visa allows foreign businesses to transfer their
employees from their business abroad to a new business
or an existing business in the United States. The transferred
employees receive a one year stay in the United States
with an L-1 Visa. After the first year is complete,
the employee files for an extension of stay. Once the
extension has been granted, the employee is free to
file an application for Lawful Permanent Residency.
There
are many requirements to qualify for this Visa, two
of which are that the foreign and U.S. company be related,
and that the foreign company has existed for one year
prior to the application for L-1 status.
This
Visa can be utilized by managers, officers, and all
others whose experiences or knowledge would make them
useful to the U.S. company.
To
fully explore whether or not the L-1 Visa, or some other
Immigration option, would be appropriate for you or
your company, please give me a call at (888) 501-7988.
