Ms. Mitchell has been practicing U. S. Immigration and Nationality law exclusively since 1999. Her main focus is on employment-based immigration, and she highly knowledgeable regarding business, investor, and employment related immigration matters. She is also experienced in family based cases, naturalization, asylum, abuse cases and other immigration matters. Ms. Mitchell has been a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (“AILA”) since 1999, and has been elected to AILA Central Florida Chapter Board for 2006-2007.
Ms. Mitchell earned her Doctor of Jurisprudence with honors from the prestigious University of Texas School of Law in Austin, Texas, and is licensed in Texas. During law school, she was awarded an USAID internship to work with the Guatemalan Congress in Guatemala City, was awarded a fellowship for an internship with the ACLU (the American Civil Liberties Union), and participated in the law school’s very first Immigration Clinic, in coordination with PAPA (the Political Asylum Project of Austin), presenting asylum cases in Immigration court.
